GROUP MEETING OF LLOYD’S AGENTS
HELD IN MALTA

Malta was selected by Lloyd's as the venue for the Autumn 2004 Group Meeting of
Lloyd's Agents. The Conference was held
at the Radisson SAS Hotel in St. Julians
and coincided with the 150 years
Anniversary of the foundation of the
Gollcher Group. Under the theme "At the Crossroads", the Conference was attended by over 80 delegates drawn from the Lloyd's Agency Department in London, 46 Lloyd's Agencies as well as other marine insurance related organisations. "We are honoured to have had the opportunity to host this prestigious Conference in Malta" Mark Gollcher, Director of O.F. Gollcher & Sons Limited, said. "We have enjoyed a long business relationship with Lloyd's and it has been a real pleasure to welcome delegates from so many countries to participate at this Conference which incidentally also coincides with our Group's 150 year Anniversary", Mr. Gollcher added.

The Conference spanned two full days on the 6th and 7th October and was chaired by
Ms. Sonja Fink, Controller of Agencies. Eminent speakers shared their views and experiences about a host of topics mainly in relation to the work of Lloyd's Agents and marine claims handling. In commenting upon the event, Ms. Fink stated: "The Conference was a huge success all round with thought provoking presentations and ensuing debates which served to highlight the potential within the Lloyd's Agency network and future business opportunities. I would like to pay tribute to our host Agents, O.F. Gollcher &
Sons, for their wonderful hospitality and fantastic organization which made this a truly memorable occasion." Evening events were hosted by Lloyd's and O.F. Gollcher & Sons Ltd. at Le Meridien Phoenicia and the Hilton Portomaso respectively.
